Anuário da Indústria de Implementos Rodoviários 2025

94 The numbers and images illustrate the scale of Fenatran 2024, the largest road freight transport show in Latin America. According to a survey by RX Brasil, the organizer of the event, the twenty-fourth edition, held once again at São Paulo Expo, in the south of São Paulo city, attracted more than 74,000 visitors and around 600 brands (58 from the road implement sector - a record), generating R$ 15 billion in business, which was R$ 5.5 billion more than the previous edition. Over five days in early November, there were also 102 meetings involving 60 exhibitors and 17 purchasing companies, in business rounds with the potential to generate R$ 98 million in the coming months. Of the total value generated at the show, ANFIR estimates R$ 4 billion was by its members, R$ 500 million more than the last edition, held in 2022. “Half a billion more in sales is a very significant increase and reinforces Fenatran’s position as the main attraction in the cargo transport sector in Latin America,” said José Carlos Spricigo, president of ANFIR, at the time. But while the visitor numbers and business figures are indisputable proof of the success of the event that has official support from ANFIR, Fenatran 2024 also showcased innovations in products and technologies to make cargo transport more sustainable and efficient. In this regard, there was a broad and diversified range of solutions that have already been implemented or are available in the market, and a taster of what is to come from the engineering and research and development areas of companies in the sector. Randocorp, for example, showcased the AT4T (Autonomous Technology for Transportation) concept, a fully-autonomous vehicle for operations in controlled spaces that combines electric mobility, navigation technologies, computer vision, sensing, and artificial intelligence. “We promote the industry and innovation, always with a focus on the future. AT4T offers increased operational efficiency, cost reduction, and energy optimization. We are sure that what we are presenting is at the forefront of technology with national development,” said Sérgio Carvalho, CEO of Randoncorp. At the Librelato booth, a semi-trailer to transport grain celebrated the company’s 55th anniversary and its capabilities with a stainless steel cargo box lining, which is more resistant to corrosive products. Also grabbing the spotlight was the Evolut tanker, with a fourth axle, which can transport 5,000 liters more than the version with three spaced axles. The product was updated with air suspension, aluminum wheels, a self-lubricating axle system, disc brakes, and Sigaway telemetry technology, with an electronic stability system (EBS), TPMS (tire pressure), and brake pad wear warning. What is more, the semi-trailer is made with ArcelorMittal-issued XCarb-certified green steel. A more sustainable and efficient semi-trailer for cargo transport was also a highlight at the Facchini booth. The company has bet on a refrigerated truck equipped with technology called Addvolt. The equipment combines a battery and an electric axle to power the cooling system, taking over from an internal combustion engine. According to the company, potential savings are up to three liters of diesel an hour. CBA took the opportunity to award its Alennium seal to Facchini. This proves that the aluminum used is produced sustainably, with a low carbon footprint, using 100% renewable energy. The company has used aluminum sheets and profiles from CBA for more than 20 years. Fully developed by the Brazilian engineering team, the MT17X High Efficiency (HE) axle was one of the main product launches for Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems (CDBS), formerly Cummins Meritor. Intended for the extra-heavy road transport sector, the new axle supports up to 100 tons Total Combined Gross Weight and has 6×4 and 8×4 applications, with engines of up to 750 hp. The company says the product offers greater input torque capacity and 30% more load capacity than similar products in its category, in addition to providing improvements in the installation and interface of vehicle suspension. A dominant theme in many booths, electrification also prevailed at ZF, which launched technologies and products that are currently imported but which, it says, will be made locally soon due to stricter legislation. The main attraction Fenatran 2024 set visitor and business records and introduced innovation in products and technologies FENATRAN
