37 2016 Details of the agreement Duration, investment and efforts made under the Apex-Brasil agreement Igor Brandão says the partnerships established by Apex-Brasil with representative business organizations from different sectors of the Brazilian economy seek to promote the image of Brazilian products and services abroad and strengthen exports by these sectors. The agreements basically work the same way in terms of financial resources: 70% of the funding comes from the agency while the remaining 30% comes from the organizations. In addition to financial support, both parties identify potential markets and buyers, find opportunities, organize business roundtables, missions to foreign markets, and so on. The duration of the agreements in general is two years. “Apex-Brasil also has one-year partnerships when new sectors begin to work with the agency, such as Anfir,” says the coordinator. Initially, the partnership seeks to structure the sector to promote exports and plan international expansion. “The proposal is to perform the following trade promotion activities: participation by Brazilian companies in international trade show, involve them in Project Buyer (when international customers visit Brazil to learn about the products, visit factories and negotiate contracts) and Project Seller (when Brazilian producers travel abroad to promote their products / services to the target market), monitoring results at the end of each action and the end of the project,” concludes Brandão. © Eugenesergeev | Dreamstime.com
